MAEBASHI, Japan -- Japanese karaoke chain operator Koshidaka Holdings will double down on efforts to expand overseas, aiming to quintuple its Southeast Asian locations to 100 from the current 21 in the next few years.

The company behind the Karaoke Manekineko chain is turning more to other countries, including the U.S., as its home market falters amid population decline.
