Asia holds promise, but mature US market still attracts growth seekers

The U.S. acquisition will accelerate Meiji Yasuda's earnings growth, Deputy President Hiroaki Tonooka told a news conference.

TOKYO -- Japan's Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance has become the second player in its shrinking domestic market this year to seek growth through an acquisition in the U.S., home to the world's biggest and still-growing life insurance sector.
