HANOI/TOKYO -- Vietnam's education technology market has exploded as the coronavirus pandemic accelerates demand for online learning, with big-name corporations and startups alike clamoring for a piece of the pie.

There is plenty to go around. The country's edtech market is now potentially worth $3 billion, up from about $2 billion in 2019, local media report. The rise of online education could help better prepare the country's workforce for an increasingly digital and globalized market.
