TOKYO -- Limited-edition wireless earbuds made to look like a mushroom-shaped chocolate snack popular in Japan sold out within 10 minutes on Tuesday.

Candy maker Meiji received a rush of orders after making the earbuds available for purchase on the Makuake crowdfunding website at noon. The 3,500 units were priced at 29,800 yen ($196) apiece.
