OSAKA -- Daikin Industries said on Thursday that it expects its consolidated net profit for the year ending March 2026 will climb 3% to a record high of 272 billion yen ($1.9 billion), as it expects to find ways to mitigate the impact of U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs.

The Japanese air conditioner maker said its plans to make an annual dividend of 330 yen, the same amount as last fiscal year, when it paid out a dividend to commemorate its 100th anniversary.
