TOKYO -- Hitachi announced on Monday that it will promote Executive Vice President Toshiaki Tokunaga to president and CEO on April 1. By elevating the information technology division leader to replace Keiji Kojima, 68, the Japanese electrical conglomerate expects to pursue a growth strategy centered on its digital business.
Kojima, the current president and CEO, will stay on as vice chairman, and Executive Chairman Toshiaki Higashibara, who served as CEO from 2016 to 2022, will remain in the same post.
