KYOTO, Japan -- Japanese motor maker Nidec is considering building one or two additional plants in India as early as 2025, looking to tap demand from electric motorcycles, air conditioners and other electronics, President Hiroshi Kobe told Nikkei.

"India is strengthening its domestic production. We're building in two or three locations" including plants now under construction, said Kobe, who also serves as Nidec's chief operating officer.
