European wind power companies sweep into growing Asia market

TOKYO/MANILA -- From Germany to Spain, European renewable energy companies are aggressively moving into Asia's wind power market as the push for decarbonization opens up opportunities in the region.

Germany's WPD says it "recently signed a cooperation agreement" to provide more than 1 gigawatt of wind power -- the equivalent of one nuclear reactor -- in the "Taiwanese semiconductor industry."
