TOKYO -- Hitachi Energy said Friday it will spend $4.5 billion in Sweden and India to expand capacity to produce power grid equipment as global demand for the infrastructure rises.
The investments through 2027 will be on top of the $1.5 billion already announced. They will bring the total to $6 billion over four years, more than twice the 2021-23 spending, according to Hitachi Energy.
