Kawasaki Heavy seeks to propel hydrogen turbine demand in Europe

Japanese company aims for 20% market share by 2030

TOKYO -- Kawasaki Heavy Industries seeks to spur demand for its hydrogen-propelled turbines in Europe by proposing modifications to existing gas-powered facilities that are cheaper than wholesale upgrades. 

Kawasaki will focus on small and medium-sized turbines, seeking to capture 20% of the European market by 2030.
