TOKYO -- Mitsubishi Heavy Industries plans to hire a record 200 people for its nuclear power business in the year ending March 2025, seeking to secure talent as Japan positions the energy as a key part of its decarbonization shift.

The hiring target is up about 30% from the year ended in March and represents an increase of about 100 from the year ended in March 2023. The plan is to keep hiring about 200 people annually for the time being.
