TOKYO -- Mitsui & Co. will participate in an offshore wind project in Taiwan with Northland Power, a major Canadian utility, the Japanese trading house announced on Friday.

The Hai Long project will have an output of approximately 1 gigawatt, making it the largest offshore wind project ever undertaken by Mitsui. The resulting power company intends to begin operations anytime from the end of 2025 to the end of 2026.
