PetroChina has no plan to buy extra Russian fuel at discount: CFO

HONG KONG -- PetroChina has no plan to buy additional oil and gas at cut-rate prices from Russia, the energy producer said Friday, signaling a different path from Indian peers reportedly ramping up Russian energy imports.

"As for now, PetroChina does not have any plans or arrangements to acquire discounted oil or gas" from Russia, Chief Financial Officer Chai Shouping said during an online earnings conference with analysts.
