MANILA -- Philippine power provider AC Energy (ACEN) has begun work on a battery system that will be linked to a solar farm in one of Australia's biggest renewable-energy projects.
ACEN, a listed arm of Philippine conglomerate Ayala, says the battery system will have a one-hour storage capacity of 50 megawatts.
