DOHA/DUBAI -- Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida held talks with Qatar's leader Tuesday on securing a stable supply of liquefied natural gas, looking to help Japanese companies acquire interests amid Doha's plans to boost production.

The emir told Kishida that his country is "prepared" to ensure a stable LNG supply.
