BANGKOK -- Thailand's state oil and gas conglomerate PTT said Wednesday it is considering importing more liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the U.S. as part of Bangkok's tariff negotiations with Washington.

"As a state enterprise, we are ready to assist the government to import more LNG from the U.S.," PTT President and CEO Kongkrapan Intarajang told reporters during an earnings briefing. "We are considering importing the gas from Alaska."
