HANOI/MANILA/BANGKOK -- Nuclear power has gained a new lease on life in Vietnam and the Philippines as their demand for fossil-fuel-free electricity grows, opening up potential new markets for countries with reactor technology.
Vietnam has resumed a project to build nuclear plants in Ninh Thuan province, with a proposed total generating capacity of 4 gigawatts.
