HANOI -- Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup plans to spend up to $30 billion on renewable energy projects and a liquefied natural gas-fueled power station.

The massive investment plan was included in a proposal from Vingroup -- sent to government leaders -- to develop Vietnam's power grid, according to local media reports.
