NEW YORK -- For nearly 25 hours, jurors in the trial of Goldman Sachs banker Roger Ng were told by a former colleague, Tim Leissner, about a web of lies he and Ng allegedly spun to help siphon billions from 1MDB, Malaysia's looted sovereign wealth fund.

On Tuesday, when the defense finally got to cross-examine the government's key witness, it got personal.
