NEW YORK -- If you are not invited to the meetings to plan the scheme, how can you be in on the crime?

That is the case that ex-Goldman Sachs banker Roger Ng's attorneys made in a New York court on Thursday, launching his defense against charges that he helped loot millions of dollars from Malaysian sovereign wealth fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
