TOKYO -- Japanese financial group SBI Holdings will enter into a joint venture with U.K.-based asset manager Man Group to set up new alternative asset investment trusts for retail investors in Japan, Nikkei has learned.

Investing in funds dedicated to alternative assets has previously been limited to institutional investors. The new venture will make it easier for retail investors by lowering minimum investment amounts and making it easier to redeem.
