KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysian sovereign wealth fund Khazanah Nasional reported a profit from operations of 5.1 billion ringgit ($1.15 billion) for 2024, marking a 13.5% decline from 5.9 billion ringgit in 2023, according to a report released on Wednesday.

"Relatively weaker performance was observed in the private market due to the lagging effects of higher interest rates, challenging financing and [the] exit environment," the fund said of the profit decline.
