Mizuho Financial taps Masahiro Kihara as next president

Exclusive: 56-year-old to replace Tatsufumi Sakai

TOKYO -- Japan's Mizuho Financial Group has decided to appoint Senior Executive Officer Masahiro Kihara, 56, to be its new president, Nikkei has learned.

Kihara will replace Tatsufumi Sakai, 62, who will step down on April 1.
