Nihon Unisys gets into the venture capital business

Systems solutions company cultivates new fronts

TOKYO -- Nihon Unisys will set up a 5 billion yen ($45.4 million) venture capital fund Friday through a subsidiary to invest in startups in such new fields as the internet of things.

Likely investment targets will also include companies developing robotics and financial technology, as well as venture capital concerns that are strong in these arenas.
