TOKYO -- U.S.-based Securitize and Japan's SBINFT are teaming up to help companies provide NFTs as perks to retail investors holding their blockchain-based digital securities.

Digital securities, or security tokens, are blockchain-based instruments typically backed by more traditional assets such as real estate, allowing the holder to earn returns in a similar fashion to other securities. Japan began allowing their sale in 2020.
