NEW YORK/TOKYO -- U.S. asset manager and activist investor Dalton Investments is preparing to launch this December a new mutual fund catering to Japanese retail investors.

Dalton is partnering with Japan's Meiji Yasuda Asset Management, which will take care of setting up and maintaining the fund. Dalton will manage the portfolio.
