TOKYO -- Japanese seafood distributor Nissui expects its onshore shrimp farm operation to turn a profit for the first time this fiscal year, the company announced Tuesday, helped by a unique water treatment method that relies on microbes. 

The business is set to turn in millions of yen (1 million yen equals $6,475) in profit from deliveries made during the current fiscal year through March 31, the company said.
