TOKYO -- South Korean music and cosmetics have long been popular among Japanese youth. Now Korean cuisine is all the rage as well as the "fourth Korean wave" hits Japan, highlighting South Korea's cultural influence on its neighbor.

Buoyed by the craze for Korean pop culture, Japan's market for Korean food products has grown 50% in the last five years. Major food processors are offering a wider range of Korean culinary delights, including frozen food and meal kits to meet growing consumer demand for convenient and authentic Korean dishes.
