OSAKA -- The Japanese operator of bento chain Hokka-Hokka Tei plans to start selling frozen boxed meals through retailers as early as 2025 for around 250 yen ($1.75), looking to tap growing demand among busy working families.

Tatsuya Aoki, chairperson and CEO of Hurxley, the chain's operating company, revealed the plan in an interview with Nikkei.
