TOKYO -- Edamame, a frozen food technology consultancy, will soon begin overseas production of its own sake-infused ice cream products.

The Tokyo-based company has set up its first overseas unit in Taiwan and will start production there possibly within this year. It plans to make the new company an exporter of the sake ice cream, called Sakeice, around Asia.
