TOKYO -- Genki Global Dining Concepts, a conveyor-belt sushi chain operator, will ramp up expansion overseas, targeting markets with growing populations such as Vietnam and the U.S. state of Texas.

The company, which runs the Genki Sushi, Uobei and Senryo restaurant brands, also will add more locations of its internationally focused namesake chain in urban tourist destinations in Japan to boost name recognition.
