TOKYO -- Japanese food and beverage company Kirin Holdings will promote overseas sales of its proprietary Lactococcus lactis strain Plasma -- a type of lactic acid bacteria -- through Blackmores, a leading Australian health food company it acquired for 170 billion yen ($1.18 billion) in August.
Kirin expects its health and well-being segment to swing into the black in fiscal 2024, as Blackmores' annual earnings contribution will absorb marketing costs.
