TOKYO -- The McDonald's group in Japan named Thomas Ko as the incoming president of the operating company on Wednesday, part of an executive reshuffle following the departure of former chairperson Sarah Casanova.

Ko takes the post of president at McDonald's Co. (Japan) following a shareholders meeting on June 14. He currently serves as a director for the parent, McDonald's Holdings Co. (Japan).
