BANGKOK/YANGON -- Myanmar conglomerate Yoma Group has opened the first overseas location of its noodle chain in Thailand, targeting tourists and local residents amid political and economic instability at home.

Operated by Singapore-listed group unit Yoma Strategic Holdings, the YKKO chain serves a variety of noodle dishes, skewers and beverages. Kyay oh noodle soup, the signature dish, starts at 120 baht ($3.50) at the new location in Bangkok's MBK Center shopping mall.
