Quarterly domestic sales also rise as prices hold steady amid rampant inflation

TOKYO -- Japan-based restaurant group Saizeriya's profit doubled on the year in the September-November quarter as its modestly priced Italian food went down well in China's slowing economy.

Group net profit climbed to 2.7 billion yen ($18.5 million) on a 22% rise in sales to 52.6 billion yen. Operating profit doubled to 3.4 billion yen, the company reported Wednesday.
