NAGOYA, Japan -- Singaporean actor Jeanette Aw has opened her first overseas patisseries, in Japan, ahead of Valentine's Day.
Japan is familiar to Aw, who trained as a patissier in Tokyo and has used fruit grown in Gunma prefecture, where she stayed while shooting a film, as ingredients for her sweets. She has established a brand image by taking advantage of her diverse pursuits -- she has also directed and authored a picture book.
