TOKYO -- Restaurant group Watami aims to grow its just-acquired Japanese operations of U.S.-based sandwich chain Subway to more than 1,000 locations in a decade, about six times as many as now.
A combined 35 directly run and franchise locations will open by March 2026, Watami Chairman and President Miki Watanabe said Thursday.
