HANOI -- Vinamilk and Japanese trading house Sojitz have started construction on a massive beef processing complex that includes a cattle farm in northern Vietnam, as the country's leading dairy producer pursues additional revenue streams.

The initial investment in the complex in Vinh Phuc province totals just over $100 million. Shipments will start after the facility's completion in June 2024.
