NEW DELHI -- Yakult, a company that makes the eponymous probiotic health drink, is betting big on India, where it aims to increase bottle sales by around 50% in the next few years with its latest mango flavor given the fruit's popularity in the South Asian country.

"Today we are not just introducing a new product but also affirming our commitment to improve the health of the people in India through probiotics," Eiji Amano, managing director of Yakult Danone India, said at the launch event on Wednesday.
