HONG KONG -- Yum China Holdings, the operator of KFC and Pizza Hut chains in the country, is promoting new kinds of shops focused on lower-priced food to cater to increasingly cost-conscious Chinese consumers.
Yum China has been rapidly expanding two such store concepts in what CEO Joey Wat described as a "breakthrough" in an earnings call on Tuesday.
