Fujitsu seeks deal on PC tie-up with Lenovo by March

Japanese group also plans to spend 100bn yen on IT security R&D

TOKYO -- Fujitsu aims to reach an agreement with China's Lenovo Group on a partnership in personal computers by the March 31 fiscal year-end, President Tatsuya Tanaka told reporters Tuesday.

The two companies said in October that they were discussing such a deal. The Japanese information technology group's struggling PC operations are expected to go under Lenovo ownership in a way that preserves the Fujitsu brand.
