Fukushima farmers enjoy price recovery

Prices for tomatoes and other food grown in Fukushima are higher than before the 2011 nuclear disaster, but remain lower than for the same products produced elsewhere in Japan.

TOKYO -- Wholesale prices of fruit, vegetables and other fresh food produced in Japan's Fukushima Prefecture continue to rise as the stigma associated with the 2011 nuclear disaster in the region fades, but most remain below nationwide averages.
