Diversity and communication enrich corporate cultures, execs say

TOKYO -- The leaders of two major Japanese companies on Wednesday suggested two vital ingredients for improving the culture of a business: diversity and communication.

Masahiko Uotani, the president of cosmetics company Shiseido, and Yasuyuki Higuchi, the CEO of Panasonic unit Connected Solutions, were speaking at the two-day Nikkei Global Management Forum during a session on "rejuvenating Japanese companies."
