Global brewers nervous as smugglers take fizz out of Myanmar beer market

YANGON -- Global brewers are toasting Myanmar's newly liberalized beer market, but they worry illegal imports could spoil the party.

     Dutch beer maker Heineken and its Danish rival Carlsberg this year announced plans to open breweries in Myanmar, which has taken steps to open up an industry that for decades was dominated by state- and military-owned companies.
