TOKYO -- Google is in talks with various Japanese companies that could become partners in its rollout of self-driving cars, said Astro Teller, who heads the Silicon Valley company's laboratory for far-out inventions.
Google does not plan to maintain its own factories for the cars, Teller told The Nikkei in an interview Thursday.
