TOKYO -- A hub will be set up in Japan in 2025 to train officials from developing countries on establishing health care systems, helping to raise global standards in medicine while also boosting exports of Japanese medical equipment.
The UHC Knowledge Hub will be established by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, the World Bank, and the World Health Organization. "UHC" stands for "universal health coverage," in which all people receive appropriate basic care at an affordable cost.
