TOKYO -- The Japanese biotech startup Genex has developed software that improves the efficiency of genetic testing for intractable mitochondrial diseases.

The software facilitates diagnosis by enabling simultaneous tests of multiple genes. Being able to identify a specific mutation makes developing a treatment easier.
