Mobility startup LifeHub raises more than $800,000 in seed funding

TOKYO -- A Japanese startup is working on a next-generation wheelchair that lets users stand up and "walk" when faced with obstacles in their path.

Tokyo-based LifeHub, founded in January 2021, aims to "free people from physical limitations." It recently announced about 100 million yen ($867,000) in seed funding from venture capital firms CyberAgent Capital and Incubate Fund.
