HANOI -- Vietnam's growing consumer spending power has led to competition in the home electronics retail market.
A survey by research company GfK Retail and Technology Vietnam found Vietnam's home electronics market was worth 116 trillion dong ($5.37 billion) on a retail price basis in 2014, up 22% from a year earlier. Japan market, by contrast, was valued at 7.54 trillion yen ($62.3 billion).
