SEOUL -- South Korean confectionery maker Orion said it will sell snacks on trains in China by working with Dong Gao Group, the country's biggest rail passenger service provider.
Items available for purchase will include its Market O snacks and Dr. You energy bars -- both popular among Chinese travelers to South Korea. Orion will work to add snacks made in its Chinese factories to the lineup later.
Dong Gao enjoys a 70% share in passenger services on the Chinese railway network, which serves 2.5 billion people a year, according to Orion. The confectionery company hopes that the move will strengthen brand recognition in inland China.
